The Pattern
The pattern includes both charts and written directions.

Correct gauge is not essential for this project unless you are working with a limited quantity of yarn. Measurements depend on the yardage used and how strongly you block the whole garment. Depending on the amount of yarn used, you can adjust garment size to your preference.

Yarn
The pattern is perfect for any semi-solid fingering and heavier laceweight yarn, which is not too fuzzy for example

80 – 90 g Wollmeise 100 % merino superwash (= 280 – 350 m / 306 – 383 yds)

The texture of the pattern will turn out best when using a yarn with similar weight and yardage.

Measurements
unblocked: approx. 180 cm x 20 cm (71” x 8”)
blocked: approx. 194 cm x 24 cm (76” x 10”)

Needles
circular or straight needles 3 mm – 3.5 mm / US size 2.5 – 4 or whatever size is suitable for your yarn

Beads (optional)
(please note that beads need to be pre-strung; the crochet hook method will not work)
approx. 300 – 350 seed beads, size 6/0 or 5/0 (= 4 or 4.5 mm; this equates to approx. 35 – 40 g) and a tool like a big eye beading needle or stiff dental floss to pre-string the beads onto yarn. Please note that you will need more or less beads if you adjust the size of the garment! If you are a tight knitter, you will need more beads to reach the length described in the pattern.

Die Anleitung
Die Anleitung enthält Strickschriften (nur die engl. Variante enthält ergänzend die ausgeschriebe Form der Strickschrift).

Ich verzichte auf eine Maschenprobe. Die späteren Maße hängen davon ab, wieviel und welche Art von Garn verstrickt, wie stark der Schal gespannt und welche Nadelstärke verwendet wird. Die Größe des Schals kann – je nach verfügbarer Garnmenge – beliebig gestaltet werden.

Garn
Am besten eignet sich 4-fach Garn mit möglichst glatter Oberfläche (Lauflänge 525 m/150 g) wie z.B.

80 – 90 g Wollmeise 100 % Merino (= 280 – 350 m)

Mit diesem oder ähnlichem Garn kommt die Struktur des Musters am besten zur Geltung.

Maße
ungespannt: ca. 180 cm x 20 cm
gespannt: ca. 194 cm x 24 cm

Nadeln
3 mm – 3.5 mm oder eine dem verwendeten Garn entsprechende Nadelstärke

Perlen (optional) (Hinweis: die Perlen müssen vorher auf das Garn gefädelt werden; die Methode mit der Häkelnadel funktioniert nicht!)
300 – 350 Rocailles Glasperlen, Größe 5/0 bis 6/0 (4 – 4,5 mm) und eine passende Nadel zum Auffädeln der Perlen auf das Garn. Am besten eignet sich eine sog. “Big Eye Nadel”. Bitte beachtet, dass sich die Perlenanzahl erhöht, wenn Ihr den Schal länger und breiter stricken wollt!
